Recombinant human cystatin C

Expressed in E. coli.

Consists of a single polypeptide chain corresponding to mature secreted human cystatin C (120 a.a.r.) without tags. Purified protein may contain additional Met residue at the N-terminus of the
molecule.

Calibrator or standard in immunoassays, immunogen for antibody production.

Purity > 95 % (SDS-PAGE)

Immunoreactivity is checked using monoclonal antibodies specific to cystatin C.

Chromatography

Lyophilized from a 0.2 µm filtered solution in 50 mM Tris-HCl, pH 7.6, 150 mM NaCl.
Product is recommended to reconstitute with deionized water.

Before and after reconstitution at -70 °C (between -65 and -80 °C allowed)

Avoid repeated freezing and thawing.
It is recommended to aliquot the product after reconstitution.
