Hybridoma clones have been derived from hybridization of Sp2/0 myeloma cells with spleen cells of Balb/c mice immunized with purified NSE from human brain.

Human NSE

IgG2a for MAbs 5E2, 1C1, H11
IgG2b for MAb 5G10

MAbs 5G10, and 5E2 react with 45 kD band corresponding to NSE in immunoblotting of human brain extracts. MAbs may be used for immunohistochemistry on formalin-fixed and
paraffinembedded sections. Recommended dilution is 1:100 – 1:300. Optimal dilution must be determined by experimentation.
All MAbs work in ELISA. Recommended pairs for sandwich immunoassay (capture-detection):

5E2 – 1C1
1C1 – 5E2
